OLED 简介

  • OLED,即有机发光二极管(Organic Light-Emitting Diode),又称为有机电激光显示(Organic Electroluminesence Display, OELD)。OLED 由于同时具备自发光,不需背光源、对比度高、厚度薄、视角广、反应速度快、可用于挠曲性面板、使用温度范围广、构造及制程较简单等优异之特性,被认为是下一代的平面显示器新兴应用技术。

  • LCD 都需要背光而 OLED 不需要,因为它是自发光的。这样同样的显示,OLED 效果要来得好一些。以目前的技术,OLED 的尺寸还难以大型化,但是分辨率确可以做到很高。

  • OLED显示传统的LCD显示不同,其可以自发光,所以不需要背光灯,这使得OLED显示屏相对于LCD显示屏尺寸更薄,同时显示效果更优。 常用的OLED屏幕有蓝色、黄色、白色等几种。屏的大小为0.96寸,像素点为 128*64,所以我们称为0.96oled屏或者12864屏。

OLED 显示模块,该模块有以下特点

  • 1)模块有单色和双色两种可选,单色为纯蓝色,而双色则为黄蓝双色。
  • 2)尺寸小,显示尺寸为 0.96 寸,而模块的尺寸仅为 27mm_26mm 大小。_
  • _3)高分辨率,该模块的分辨率为 128_64。
  • 4)多种接口方式,该模块提供了总共 5 种接口包括:6800、8080 两种并行接口方式、3线或 4 线的穿行 SPI 接口方式,、IIC 接口方式(只需要 2 根线就可以控制 OLED 了!)。
  • 5)不需要高压,直接接 3.3V 就可以工作了。

注意模块能不能和 5.0V 接口兼容,所以请大家在使用的时候一定要小心。

OLED 应用

OLED显示屏除了可以取代LCD和PDP在传统显示领域中的地位外,还可以属于自己的应用领域:

  • (1)3G通讯领域:OLED可满足在太阳光下、寒冷环境下正常工作的要求,且无视角限制、可播放动态图像而无拖尾现象、耗电量低等优点。因此,OLED必将成为3G通信终端显示器的主流;
  • (2)军事及特殊用途:OLED为全固态,无真空腔、无液态成分,抗震性好,在其它显示器无法工作的恶劣环境,如具有巨大的加速度、高寒或强烈震动环境中,因此可以被用于战车、坦克、飞机等作战平台的仪表板以及各类驾驶员、士兵、技术专家和医生使用的头盔显示器,还可以用于航空航天显示器、军事移动器的夜间及野外显示器等。
  • (3)柔软显示器:将导电玻璃基片换成导电柔软材料基底,就可以制备出柔软显示器。可以用作服装装饰、工艺品、标牌和显示器,也可用来制作可卷曲携带且具有无限数据传输功能的电子报纸以及电视机。

OLED 驱动

OLED的驱动方式分为主动式驱动(有源驱动)和被动式驱动(无源驱动)。

  • 主动式驱动(AM OLED)

有源驱动的每个像素配备具有开关功能的低温多晶硅薄膜晶体管(LowTemperature Poly-Si Thin Film Transistor, LTP-Si TFT),而且每个像素配备一个电荷存储电容,外围驱动电路和显示阵列整个系统集成在同一玻璃基板上。与LCD相同的TFT结构,无法用于OLED。这是因为LCD采用电压驱动,而OLED却依赖电流驱动,其亮度与电流量成正比,因此除了进行ON/OFF切换动作的选址TFT之外,还需要能让足够电流通过的导通阻抗较低的小型驱动TFT。

有源驱动属于静态驱动方式,具有存储效应,可进行100%负载驱动,这种驱动不受扫描电极数的限制,可以对各像素独立进行选择性调节。

有源驱动无占空比问题,驱动不受扫描电极数的限制,易于实现高亮度和高分辨率。

有源驱动由于可以对亮度的红色和蓝色像素独立进行灰度调节驱动,这更有利于OLED彩色化实现。

有源矩阵的驱动电路藏于显示屏内,更易于实现集成度和小型化。另外由于解决了外围驱动电路与屏的连接问题,这在一定程度上提高了成品率和可靠性。

  • 无源驱动(PM OLED)

PM-OLED发光原理是利用材料能阶差,将释放出来的能量转换成光子,所以我们可以选择适当的材料当做发光层或是在发光层中掺杂染料以得到我们所需要的发光颜色。此外,一般电子与电洞的结合反应均在数十纳秒(ns)内,故PM-OLED的应答速度非常快。

LED OLED 显示器

LED 点阵显示器不存在以上液晶显示器的问题,LED 点阵彩色显示器的单个像素点内包含红绿蓝三色 LED 灯,显示原理类似我们实验板上的 LED 彩灯,通过控制红绿蓝颜色的强度进行混色,实现全彩颜色输出,多个像素点构成一个屏幕。由于每个像素点都是 LED 灯自发光的,所以在户外白天也显示得非常清晰,但由于 LED 灯体积较大,导致屏幕的像素密度低,所以它一般只适合用于广场上的巨型显示器。相对来说,单色的 LED 点阵显示器应用得更广泛,如公交车上的信息展示牌、店招等,见图 _LED_ 点阵彩屏有 _LED_ 单色显示屏 。

新一代的 OLED 显示器与 LED 点阵彩色显示器的原理类似,但由于它采用的像素单元是“有机发光二极管”(Organic Light Emitting Diode),所以像素密度比普通 LED 点阵显示器高得多。

OLED 显示器不需要背光源、对比度高、轻薄、视角广及响应速度快等优点。待到生产工艺更加成熟时,必将取代现在液晶显示器的地位。

OLED 模块接口方式设置表

  • GND 电源地
  • VCC 电源正(3~5.5V)
  • SCL OLED 的 D0 脚,在 IIC 通信中为时钟管脚
  • SDA OLED 的 D1 脚,在 IIC 通信中为数据管脚

OLED屏幕显存

OLED驱动 IC 为 SSD1306;其具有内部升压功能;所以在设计的时候不需要再专一设计升压电路;当然了本屏也可以选用外部升压,具体的请详查数据手册。SSD1306 的每页包含了128 个字节,总共 8 页,这样刚好是 128*64 的点阵大小。

OLED屏幕常用指令

  • 第一个命令为 0X81,用于设置对比度的,这个命令包含了两个字节,第一个 0X81 为命令,随后发送的一个字节为要设置的对比度的值。这个值设置得越大屏幕就越亮。
  • 第二个命令为 0XAE/0XAF。0XAE 为关闭显示命令;0XAF 为开启显示命令。
  • 第三个命令为 0X8D,该指令也包含 2 个字节,第一个为命令字,第二个为设置值,第二个字节的 BIT2 表示电荷泵的开关状态,该位为 1,则开启电荷泵,为 0 则关闭。在模块初始化的时候,这个必须要开启,否则是看不到屏幕显示的。
  • 第四个命令为 0XB0~B7,该命令用于设置页地址,其低三位的值对应着 GRAM 的页地址。
  • 第五个指令为 0X00~0X0F,该指令用于设置显示时的起始列地址低四位。
  • 第六个指令为 0X10~0X1F,该指令用于设置显示时的起始列地址高四位。其他命令,我们就不在这里一一介绍了,大家可以参考 SSD1306 datasheet 的第 28 页。从这页开始,对 SSD1306 的指令有详细的介绍。
